What is the process to start using RentEase?

RentEase is a service that allows you to pay rent by credit card. Please prepare the following documents and cards to use the service.

Required Items

1.Identification Document (any of the following)

  • My Number Card (with photo)
  • Driver's License (valid)
  • Passport (valid)
  • Residence Card (valid)

2.Credit Card (meeting the following conditions)

  • Either VISA or Mastercard
  • Same name as the app applicant
  • Available credit limit must exceed the total of rent and service fee (plus consumption tax)

3.Lease Agreement

When registering property information, you will need to provide a lease agreement issued by the real estate company. Please have this document ready in advance.

Steps to Start Using the Service

1. Download and Install the App

Search for "RentEase" on the App Store or Google Play and download the free app. Once launched, please review the terms of service.

2. Create an Account

Enter your basic information including name, phone number, and address. Then register your email address and set up a login password.

3. Identity Verification

Next, you will need to verify your identity using an official identification document and a photo of yourself. Follow the on-screen instructions to take a picture of your identification document, then proceed to capture a photo of your face.

4. Creating a RentEase Rental Agreement

In the RentEase app, create a RentEase Rental Agreement, which includes payment details, property information, bank transfer details, and the roles of the landlord and tenant.

1. Open the Agreement Creation Screen
Go to "Contract List" in the app and select "Create RentEase Rental Agreement" to begin.

2. Enter Required Information
・Monthly rent, initial fees, renewal fees, etc.
・Property name, address, room number, etc.
・Bank Transfer Information
・Register and configure the landlord and tenant information.

Information
  • The "RentEase Rental Agreement" created and displayed within this feature is for managing rental information within the app and does not establish a new rental contract.
  • This function is intended for registering information related to an existing or upcoming rental contract.
  • The registered information is used only to verify the recipient account for rent payments. It will not be used for any other purposes.
  • Please refer to the official rental agreement issued by your real estate agency or landlord for formal contract details.
Warning

To complete your registration, you will need to provide bank transfer details for rent payments.

If you are currently paying by direct debit, please contact your property management company or landlord to request a change to bank transfer payments.

Additionally, make sure to confirm the correct bank transfer details with them before proceeding.

5. Registering Credit Card & Making Payment

To automate your monthly rent payments, please register your credit card. The first payment will be processed at the time of registration. Bank transfers to the property management company or landlord will be made on either the 25th of the current month or the 25th of the following month, depending on the payment date.

Payment & Transfer Schedule

  • If the payment is made between the 1st and 15th (by 8:50 AM), the transfer to the property management company or landlord will be processed on the 25th of the same month.
  • If the payment is made between the 15th (9:00 AM) and the end of the month, the transfer will be processed on the 25th of the following month.
Information

For subsequent payments, transactions will be processed on the 15th of each month, and the rent will be transferred to the property management company or landlord on the 25th.

Danger

If the bank transfer details are entered incorrectly, the payment cannot be sent to the property management company or landlord. Please ensure that the information is entered accurately.

For Those Using the Service Only for Initial Fees or Renewal Fees

After making the payment, you must cancel the subscription manually. However, cancellation cannot be processed immediately after payment and will only be available after 9:00 AM on the 15th of the following month. Please note that you cannot stop the subscription immediately after making the payment.
